Our cosy beachfront studio rooms are just the thing for a romantic getaway or for the solo traveller.

Each studio is fully self contained and can sleep 1 to 2 people.

Your own private deck or patio brings the fresh sea air and awe-inspiring sunsets right to your room.

Outdoor furniture is provided for your relaxation and access to the beach is straight across the lawn.

Peak Season (October - April inclusive):
  • Studio (1-2 persons): NZ $195 per night

Off-Peak (May - September inclusive):
  • Studio (1-2 persons): NZ $155 per night

All rates shown include GST.

Payment Policy

Once your booking request has been received by us, we will double-check room availability and email you an Invoice for your accommodation.

Payment of a 30% deposit - roughly equivalent to two night's stay over Christmas (mid December to mid January) or one night's accommodation at all other times - is required to secure your booking. Once your deposit is received, we will confirm your booking by email.

Deposit payment can be made by direct credit or by phoning us with your credit card details.
Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard are all accepted.

Payment for your stay is required in full prior to your departure from Sunset Waterfront Lodge.
Credit card payment and EFTPOS are available.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation within 30 days of your arrival will incur a forfeit of the deposit.
Cancellation within 7 days of your arrival will incur a forfeit of the total booking.
We’re very fair and understand how circumstances can change at the last minute – so just keep in touch and we’ll be as flexible as possible.

Bad weather

Should the weather mean a cancellation in ferry and flight services to or from the Barrier, we’ll work something out with you so you’re holiday plans aren’t a complete washout!
